Joseph Vollans died aged 83 on November 24th 1867 at Biggin. The cause of death was ¡§Decay. Not certified.¡¨ The death was witnessed by Jabez Birdsall of Church Fenton.

Jabez Birdsall was ¡¥in attendance¡¦ at the deaths of both Elizabeth and Joseph Vollans in 1867. In 1851 (aged 15) he was living in Church Fenton next door with his Grandmother (Mary Parker, a farmer). In 1881 he was a joiner in Church Fenton with his wife and four children.
