My gggrandmother was Wilhelmine Magdalena Caroline Volkmann b. 6-11-1865 in Davenport, Scott Co., IA. She was the daughter of Joachim Frederick Christian Theodor Volkmann b. 7-15-1822 in Schlemmin, Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Germany and Sophia Anna Fredericka Kruthoff b. 1-15-1835 Schlemmin, Mecklenburg, Germany. Joachim was the son of Hans Friedrich Ulrich Volkmann and Lena Maria Becker. I have more info. on these families but would appreciate anything anyone might care to add.
