OK. Joachim Frederick Christian Theodor Volkmann was my grandfather's uncle. My grandfather was born to Joachim's sister Wilhelmine Henriette Sophia Volkmann in Mecklenburg, Germany August 09, 1849, fathered by Friedrich Wolff, a bastard child that came to live with his uncle at the age of 13, and grew up with that family and he and my grandmother, Margaretha, would later be Godparents to Joahcim's younger children, possibly your gggrandmother, and present at their weddings. So, actually, by blood, my grandfather would have been your gggrandmother's first cousin. I finally broke down and hired somebody over in Germany to research to get this info.
