Hi, have been researching Voytek for approx 8 months. I am a VOYTEK, the VOYTEK'S of my family came from Ct. They were here in the 1880's and still researching as to when they originally came. On all the certificates of my grandparents the country of birth states "AUSTRIA_HUNGARY" We were always told we were Slovak. I found out the VOYTEK'S in out family were from a village in northeast Slovakia called PLAVNICA. The LDS center has the records all the way back to the 1600's and sure enough the names and dates all matched up but our name was not VOYTEK it was VOJTEK. If you wat more info. with regard to this e-mail me. eileen

I think we may have more faily settled elsewhere, not just in New England, because my sister who is 15 yrs. older then I remembers our father telling her we had a cowboy in the family.
