Dear JB: Jean Joseph Voisin md 2nd to Marie Pauline Lebouef on Aug 17, 1857 in Houma, La. His parents were Jean Voisin of Liburna, Diocese of Bordeau, France and Marie Louise Barrois, not Barrios. I have been researching this family since 1982 and have not found any connection to the Solis family. Jean Joseph's sister-in-law was married to a Hingle and that is the only documented connection to this family. This connection in no way establishes any inherit value to the Voisin family. Futhermore, there were several Pierre Voisins in the New Orleans area and our Pierre, father of Jean and grandfather of Jean Joseph are not connected in any way, to my knowledge or others researching our Voisins. Jean s/o Pierre had two children Jean Joseph and a daughter Catherine. Catherine md a Jean Titus of New Orleans and died only a few years after, leaving no issue. Jean Joseph had two known sons Joseph and Leonard and a daughter whose name is unknown and who died with her mother on Last Island during the 1856 hurricane. How you are connected to the Voisin line? Glad to see family interested in their heritage.
