Well, I need to know where this information came from. Jean Joseph was born in 1803 and the Last Island Storm was in 1856.
Pierre Voisin and Marie Basile, Jean's parents were never in Louisiana.
Jean in his last will would substantiate this fact.
There were two or three Pierre Voisin's in LA. Two were father and son and the father was married to a Madeleine from France. I believe that you may be confusing the two Voisin families.
When Jean dies his last will states that his only relatives were those of his children and his wife's family.
Pierre of NO's family was alive and well in NO at the time. He would have mentioned any relation if there was one.
