Hi,
Just found out that my Wisner family line was originally Voisard. I am descended from Christine Voisard (Wisner) who was born abt 1805 in St. Charles, Missouri and died in 1853 at Pt. Precinct, Calhoun Co., Illinois. She was the daughter of Joseph Voisard (b. 1780, Canada; d. St Charles, MO) and Elizabeth Denis (d. 1814). Joseph's father was Henri-Joseph Vadeboncoeur Voisard (b. Switzerland, in the Jura Mountains and immigrated to Canada). Christine married Jean Baptist Marechal. The couple became Jean B. Marshall and Christine Wisner Marshall. Joseph Voisard, the father of Christine, married twice, the 2nd time to an Indian woman whose name is unknown to us.
This is all I know at the moment.
Sincerely,
Pat
