Cornelius Voice brought his family from England to Canada and then to Chicago. Several moved on to the Grand Traverse Area in Northern Michigan (Leelana and Grand Traverse Counties). William came as head sawyer for the 1st mill established in Traverse City, brother Joseph (my great-grandfather) was the youngest of the children. I have a good deal of the Voice family genealogy, going back to the 1500's in England.
