Phyllis Jean Nichols Vogt KENTUCKY -- Funeral services for Phyllis Jean Vogt, 79, of Lexington, Ky., formerly of Cookeville, Tn. will be held at 2 p.m. today, Feb. 3, in Porter Memorial Baptist Church. Mrs. Vogt died Monday, Jan. 31, 2005, at Central Baptist Hospital of a heart ailment. She was born in Enid, Okla., to the late Charles Andrew and Icie Montgomery Nichols. Mrs. Vogt was a retired seamstress, a sales representative and a member of Porter Memorial Baptist Church in Lexington and First Baptist Church in Cookeville. Her family includes her husband of 58 years, Arthur Carl Vogt; three daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra Carol and Lowell Hamilton of Jackson, Ky., Diana Lynn and Bud Burdette of Danville, Ky., and Adonna Lee and Geoffrey Pryor of Cookeville; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Vincent Paul and Cynthia Vogt and Lyndon Leroy Vogt, all of Lexington; three sisters, Olive Hobbs, Ruby Jones and Ruth Henley, all of Enid; 13 grandchildren; and one great-grandson. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Memorial contributions may be made to the Happy Tones Choir at First Baptist Church in Cookeville. Revs. James K. Pierce and Bob Justus will officiate at the services. Milward Funeral Home in Lexington is in charge of the arrangements. Notify Administrator about this message?
