Ernest Henry Christian Voelker who married Dorothea S. A. Van Weidlestadt (we think that is the correct spelling of last name)is from my family line. Sophia Voelker Lorenz is my connection. When my Uncle Byron Lorenz passed away a copy of an 1840 Perry County MO census was given to me. It starts with Ernest and Dorthea, lists their children to their grandchildren.

here is a rough outline of what i have if you are interested.

Ernest Henry Christian Voelker, b. ca 1793, Saxony, Germany, d. 1863, Perry County, MO
Married ca 1830/31 in Germany
Dorthea S. A. Van Weidelstadt (we think)b ca 1802, Poland, d. prior to Census 1860, Perry County MO

Their Children:

Frederick G. Voelker
b. ca 1831, Saxony
m. Martha
children: Albert

Jackson Voelker
b. ca 1833, Saxony gone from home 1863

Sophia Voelker
b. 2-12-1836, Missouri
d. 7-12-1919
m. John Lorenz
Henry A.C. Lorenz
Anton C. Lorenz
Mary Ellen Lorenz
Louisa Lorenz
Anna Margaret Lorenz
John Peter Lorenz, Jr. (my great grandfather)

Henry Voelker
b. 12-21-1837
d. 3-24-1914
m. Luvisa
Charles Voelker
Emma Voelker

Charles Voelker
b 11-15-1839
d 1885
m Mary Nanney
Mary L.

Emily Voelker
b ca 1841
m Lundley

Ferdinand Voelker
b ca 1843

Henry Voiler (Voelker?) was shown in the 1840 Census of Perry County, Mo. with:
u/5 - 1
5/10 - 3
20/30 - 1
40/50 - 1
U/5 - 1
30/40 - 1
70/80 - 1

I do not know what these mean. If anyone has any information please reply. Was teh 20/30 male a brother, and the 70/80 female his mother or mother-in-law?

any way that is the rough outline. It goes into more children so if you are interested I can scan this and send to you. I am still in MO about fifty miles from Perry County. I am interested in how you are related to this.
Thanks Stephanie
