Dear Marsha, I think George must be a popular German name. My great-great grandfather was named George J. Voelker. He came to America in 1848 with brothers Joseph, Laurance ( I'm not sure on the spelling) and a sister Katherine. He changed his name to Felker. I don't know where the bros and sister ended up. And now here I am another Marsha. Good day to you. And good luck.
