Edward Morgan Voelker II, son of Eleanor Jane Voelker and Morgan Voelker, was born 8/3/1938. His mother's parents were John and Jane (Jennie) Voelker. His father's parents were a brother of John Voelker and a woman with surname Morgan.

I was his first wife, married 9/17/1960 in Daytona Beach, FL. His first child is Amy Sue Voelker, born 4/10/1962. We were divorced 12/17/1962 and, to my knowledge, he never saw his daughter. Nor his grandson, Kelly Dale McConnell, who was killed 8/1/2010 with his two step-brothers and the father of all three.

While I have had no contact with Ed since early 1962, I'll recount as much as I remember from what I was told about the family. They came from Germany and their name was Von Felker. It was changed to Voelker to appear less Germanic.

I was told by Jennie Voelker that her husband and Morgan's father were brothers. She and her husband lived in NYC. He came home from work one day and dropped dead. She said that the brother (not sure if his first name was Edward) had married into money. Apparently his mother set up a trust fund for Morgan and for Morgan's children. Connie and Ed were to access principal of those trusts when they reached 40.

Morgan Voelker, Ed's father, died of throat cancer the May before Ed and I married. His mother, Eleanor, and grandmother lived in the family home in Massachusetts.

Hope this helps whoever is working on the Voelker family tree.
