I recently purchased a studio (Russling & Flick, 555 Main St., Buffalo, NY) portrait photo identified on the back in period handwriting:
Emily Voelker
daughter of Christian
wife of William Clancy.
I found this individual listed in the 1880 census data, at which time she was 7 years old and resided with her family at 287 Madison St., Buffalo, NY. Her father, Christian Voelker, age 53, was employed as a machine moulder. Her mother, Wilhelmina, age 46, was keeping house. Siblings were Nina, age 13; Frederick, age 12; Emil, age 11; and twins Lilly and John, age 5.
