Folkner, TN 1820 -> Ark 1850

I've not made any headway following the "traditional" Faulkner spellings, so I'm starting to wonder if the name was corrupted from a similar name. I hope there are some people reading this forum that might recognize this line.

I'm looking for information on George FOLKNER (also FALKNER, FAULKNER, FORKNER), b. ca 1827 in Knox Co. Tenn. I know he married Elizabeth Jame BURKHART there in 1847. They moved to Madison Co, Ark ca. 1853. After George died, the family moved to N. Texas (Grayson, Cooke, Collin Cos) ca. 1870, where parts remain to this day. George & Elizabeth's children were Morgan, John, Sara Jane, Thomas, Elizabeth, Margaret Savannah, Georgia (MaryAnn?), and Harriett.

I know there are many Faulkners in E. Tenn in this period, but I've never been able to make any connection from George to anyone who
might be his family.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you've not already found it, check out http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Prairie/3597/. It is a one-name site dedicated to
FAULKNER, all spellings, all places.

-Bob.
