My name is Paul Voelker and my (Voelker) family came from Northern Rhode Island / Southern Massachusetts. The time frame is right, but the names don't seem to match. My g. grandfather was Washington Henry born in 1867,he had six siblings, George, Philip, Charles, Eva, Lillian, and Catherine. The last one was born in about 1876.

Washington's father was Frederick August Voelker, who had a brother, Charles Anton. Charles had one son (I know of named George, who also had a son named George. His decendants still live in the Woonsocket RI area.

I know this because I have pictures of all the head stones, and have spoken with relatives living in RI.

Do any of these names match with any you have found?

Like you, I have found a very LARGE abundance of Voelkers from everywhere in the US except New England. So, the fact that your ancestory came from Boston and the years are pretty close, gives me hope.

Anaheim, CA.
