Gabriel- For information on the Vizcarra surname look at my posting #44 and #69. My family is also from Durango, Canelas, Tepehuanes, etc. I have located my ancesters in Mexico back to abt 1571 and from the first Vizcarra to migrate to Mexico. He was Alonso Vizcarra son of Diego Vizcarra and Isabel Barreara from Seville, Spain. He migrated to Mexico on 14 May 1566. Who were your oldest known ancesters? I will try to connect them to my branch of the Vizcarras. I have over 1,300 members in my family. If I can't help go to Xavier Avitia on Canelas, Durango, Mexico web site. He has information on 35000 persons in Durango. Good luck Oscar
