Hi Stephen,
My great aunt (Charlotte Laura Ellen Veal)married Charles Frederick Ewart Vivian (b c 1889 - d 1964).He was a mining engineer and they lived in Johannesburg, SA.
His family came from Camborne, Cornwall (parents John Vivian & Priscilla Holman; grandparents James & Mary Vivian.
If this is a connection I would love to hear more.
