Hi Steve,
Our reasonably verified tree goes back from Keturah Vivian(b 1726) who married a Frances Bolitho. Her father was William Vivian, (b1694, m Eleanor Uren), father John (b 1651, m Jane Luke), father John (b 1626, m Agnes Bray). John's father was Roger Vivian of Camborne but we don't have his mother's name. The only Roger we can find is the one you mention, Hannibal's son who married Ellen Bennett, but without other evidence we can't be sure we've got the right Roger. The Visitations of Cornwall suggest he 's the one, but there are mistakes there and it's not 100% reliable. I wonder if you have any other evidence about Roger Vivyan/Ellen Bennett's children? I haven't managed to get hold of Roger's admon. but I did get a copy of a mortgage deed, whereby he borrowed £3000 from his nephew Richard. Unfortunately, I can't make head or tail of the writing! I wonder if the Levant Co have any records? Regards, Anne
