Vivian of Chico, CA died Sunday the 16th of December in a local Hospital. He served as a professor of mass communications from 1983 until his retirement in 1999. He was a man of great detail and dedication to both his family and career. He is survived by one sister, Mary Hewitt and husband John of Abilene; two nieces, Katy Allen-Lomas and husband Jeremy of Austin, Karen Cluck and husband Randy of Abilene; two great nephews, Brady and Tyler Cluck and one great niece, McKenna Cluck; Several cousins and many friends, including his very special friend Linda Vivian of Palm Springs, CA. Robert will be missed greatly by all of those who shared in his love for many years. Mr. Vivian's desire was to be cremated and a memorial service will be held in California at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the Robert W. Vivian Scholarship fund at California State University, Chico, 400 West First Street, Chico, CA 95929.
