Posted by: Cher Noel (ID *****0548) Date: October 27, 2007 at 04:34:03
In Reply to: Vivians From the Detroit Metro, SE M.I. Area?? by Jason Vivian of 463

Dear Jason: I am the granddaughter of deceased John Vivian,a master carpenter. When my father, John Calvin Vivian, Jr.was young, they lived on Post St., in the Delray (then Hungarian, as his wife and my grandmother, Ann Galovich Vivian was Hungarian) section of Detroit. They later bought a tract of land in Dearborn Heights,Michigan, where they built a home and lived till death. Grandfather John Vivian worked with and retired from Fleetwood Body as a carpenter, handcarving the dashboards for custom Cadillacs. Grandmother Ann Vivian worked for and retired from General Motors, and was a laborer. Grandfather had two children by previous marriage: Calvin Vivian(who moved to midwest and is now deceased) and Lois Vivian. Grandfather Vivian had two children with Ann Vivian, John Calvin Vivian, Jr. (my dad) and Shirlee Ann Vivian(my deceased aunt). My grandfathers family of Vivians resided in Johnstown, PA and were carpenters and miners. My dad, John Calvin Vivian, Jr., is 85 years old and lives in Dearborn. He was a pentecostal evangelist and also worked for Ford Motor Company. Perhaps we're related??
