John Lambrick Vivian 1830 - 1896 England Research Question

Hello Forum. I am a graduate student in history doing research into British History and the counties of Cornwall and Devon. My primary source that I am using for my research is a collection of wills, from these counties, collected by John Lambrick Vivian (1830 - 1896) son of John Vivian and Mary Lambrick. Investigations into J.L. Vivian have turned up little information about his life in England. In the interest of my reseach I would like more information about him to further understand my primary source. I am trying to construct a picture of his life and hopefully understand why/where/when he collected the wills that I am studying. Any help or suggestions would be greatly apprecieated and would help aid my thesis project. Please feel free to contact me directly via email. I would be happy to discuss further the primary source for which J.L. Vivian is given credit if anyone is interested. Thanks again.
