Hi Joan,
Thanks for your reply. I do have some knowledge of VIVIANs in Australia but no Richard, the one I am seeking. A James of Dorset was transported there in the 1820s, married and later disappeared when he was pardoned in 1843. It appears that James may have been a brother of Richard and this has caused me to pursue the possibility that Richard may have gone to Australia as well.
