My Grandmother was Camille Vitale. Born 7/31/1895 in the area of Basilicata. She Married Michael Pietrocola April1,1918 in Caldello Italy then came to live in The USA, in staten Island, New York, on a street Named Wachague Rd. They Had three daughters and two sons. The first was Maria Gabrille who died at 22 months from pneumonia, the second was Carmella (aka Millie), Next in line was Joseph (a fireman who died form parkenson's), the next was Antonio(Tony) Who after surgery with Dr Debachi eventually died in the 70"s from complications of the devistating efects of rhumatic fever in child hood., the last and the baby is my mother Theresa. Today Millie is in her 70's and my mother is 68. My grandmother died tragically of a ruptured heart in the early summer of 1949, My grandfather became very depressed and entered a psychiatric hospital where amoung other things he was treated with ECT. Shortly after, the city moved the house for the staten Island expressway to be built. Eventually while on a walk my grandfather slipped into the Brady's Pond of SI and Dround. They were members of the Harbor Road Penticostal Church. They were reported to have cousins from Chicago or that area who on occation visited, but no one really paid attention. I have found the Family in Italy, but have not located anyone here, and there are no records of Pietrocola's in Italy, only in Argintina. The Pietrocola Family was reported to have been Killed when a train tressel came down on there home in Italy in the area around Potenza, Italia, but no one knows details.........Are we related????
