Matthew Virtue came to Dalhousie Township, Lanark Co in 1821 with his father Col. John Virtue. In 1849 he signed over his land grant to his sister Mary Lashley (Leslie).He was living i Oxford co, Canada at the time. Any information on this family would be appreciated.
