Did Henry and Caroline have a daughter named Penelope? I found a Penelopy (sic) Virtue on the 1880 census in Orange Twp., Rush Co., IN. She is listed with her uncles, Perry and William Virtue, and her maternal grandparents, John and Patience Virtue. According to the 1880 census, Penelope's father was born in Indiana. Here is what I have dug up on that branch of the Virtue family so far: Descendants of John Virtue 1 John VIRTUE b: Abt. 1802 in PA (Fa b IRE, Mo b PA) . +Patience MARTIN b: Abt. 1806 in NH m: 04 April 1830 in Gallia Co., OH ...... 2 Charles VIRTUE b: Abt. 1831 in Ohio ...... 2 William VIRTUE b: 1832-1833 in Ohio ...... 2 Thomas VIRTUE b: Abt. 1835 in Ohio .......... +Anna Electa b: Abt. 1843 in Indiana .............. 3 Edith L. Please feel free to e-mail me directly if you would like more Virtue information.
