Hi, Gregory:
In the 1820 census, Thomas Virgin has in his household 1 free white female under age 10 and 2 ages 10 to 15.My ggg-grandmother, his daughter Louisa, was born in 1812.I have in my data (though undocumented) Elizabeth born in 1810. That accounts for the two females are 10-15.Their sister Theresa "Thurza" Virgin Ward, living with Louisa in 1850 and 1860 gives her birth year as 1804, accounting for the female under 10.
I don't think it's likely that your Elizabeth is Thomas' daughter. He did, however, have 4 brothers.John and Rezin, living in Greenup Ky in 1820, have no females of the appropriate age.I could not find Brice.Kinsey, however, has a free white female under age 10.I think this is a good place to start looking.
Let me know what you find.
