this is not my direct family line of Viponds, but i did find some information that might help someone to connect.
George Vipond (of the headstone) was born in England as was his wife, Sarah. i have a possible arrival date of 30 April 1845 on the ship "Empire" out of Liverpool and docked at New York.
According to the 1860 census, George and Sarah were living on a farm in Livingston, Clifton Township, Grant county, WI. they had the following children:
John, 19 born in england
Catherine 18, born in England
George 14, born in WI
Mary 11, born in WI
Thomas 8, born July 1853 in WI
Sarah J. 6, born in WI
Elizabeth, 4, born in WI
James A., 2, born in WI
the 1880 census has the following on the family:
Sarah age 61 (head)
George 34 son
Thomas 29 son
Elizabeth 24 daughter
James A. 21 son
by 1900 the widdowed Sarah was living with Thomas in the same town.
the census of 1910 (still the same town) has the following:
George (Sarah's son) 63
Julia wife 54 they were married in 1883
Belva their daughter 24
James A. (the youngest son of George and Sarah) is found in the 1900 census living in Cresco, Kossuth, Iowa
James A. Vipond 41, born oct 1858 head
Alice Vipond, 39, married in 1882 wife
Lloyd A. Vipond 17 son Born 1883
Harry J. Vipond, 15, born 1885
in 1920 James and Alice (Allie) are still living in Cresco, Kossuth, Iowa.

Allie (Alice)Vipond 59
Harry J. Vipond 34
James is a general farmer
Lloyd A. Vipond is married in 1920 and also lives in Cresco, Kossuth, Iowa with his family. he is a stock farmer.

Stella Collinson Vipond, age 32
James R. Vipond born 1915 age 5
Thomas R. Vipond born 1915 age 5 (twins, both born in Iowa)
Collinson, Hannah L. 70 widdow, mother-in-law
Collinson, Leila B.34, single, sister-in-law
so the twins might be your best bet for finding family.
