A book called the Descendants of Thomas A. Ramsey and Allied families also lists this Mary Vineyard, dau of David or Daniel Vineyard. This information was published in 1912 which leads me to think that whoever was writing it knew this information first hand. I have been unsuccessful in obtaining a copy of this book, but have spoken with a lady who used to have the book and vouched for its authenticity. This book noted birthdates and marriage dates for Mary's ancestors going back 4 generations to England. Her father was indeed Daniel or David Vineyard, who was not German, but English according to this publication. Apparently David/Daniel was the son of Joseph Vineyard/Vingard and Hannah Lewis. Joseph was the son of Henry Vinyard/Vingard and Rachel Spellman and Henry may have been the son of an Emmanuel Vineyard/Vingard. I am interested in being in contact with others who can add to the descendants or other details on this line of Vineyards. I believe they tie into some of the other Illinois Vineyards, but that is not proven.
