hello!! i hope i can be of some help, and maybe vice-versa!! i just started researching my tree, and my maiden name is vinton. i dont have very much info yet on the vinton side, as my great-grandfather (warren J vinton) was estranged from my grandfather(thomas jay vinton), and my grandmother (dorothea jane jones) until his death. but warren also had 4 other wives, and 2 other children by mary (perkins) vinton(his fifth wife). i have a letter from one of those children that tells a bit about warren, but not much (his 2 other children were jay emerson vinton, and mary warren vinton). i still do not know who any of warren's ancestors are, but i have written to jay, to see if he has any other info, and at this time, i am waiting for the copy of warren's social security application. but jay also mentioned a book that might be helpful to us, although i havent been able to find it anywhere on the net yet.

anyway...good luck....and maybe i will see you at some family reunion!!!
