Becky,
There where lots of marriages between the McQuains and Vints. Alexander McQuain and Mary(Bodkin)McQuain had 10 children and 3 of of them married Vints; John McQuain to Cynthia Vint, Elizabeth McQuain to William Vint and Thomas McQuain to Margerat Vint. John Vints(1) Grandfather John Vint(2) (the Johns and Williams' occur every other generation)married a Bodkin and Alexander McQuain married a Bodkin which makes William Vint and Elizabeth McQuain cousins. Duncan McQuain brother of Elizabeth married Martha Rymer and had Mary McQuain who married John Vint(1) which makes John(1) and Mary cousins.
I'm not sure if the McQuains, Bodkins and Vints all came to America on the love boat or what but those names are common for several generations. I know that John Vint(2) came to this country as an indentured servant to Hugh Bodkin (Mary McQuains Grandfather) but I haven't had any luck finding the ship name or passenger list. I do know they came from Ireland (the county Galway I think).
Mark
