Clayton Tribune, (Rabun Co. GA) Thursday, January 16, 1941, Page 1: “H.B. Vinson Dies At Dillard---Mr. H.B. Vinson, one of the best citizens of the county, died at his home near Dillard, last Monday morning. He was in his 79th year and had been in failing health for several months. Mr. Vinson was a native of this county though he moved to North Carolina and spent a few years there but came back to Dillard where he made his home. The deceased leaves one son, Harry Vinson, and two daughters, Mrs. Juanita Hamby and Miss Thelma Vinson. He was buried at Hamburg, North Carolina.” Clayton Tribune, (Rabun Co. GA) Thursday, January 16, 1941, Page 4: “Mr. Hezekiah Benson “Bence” Vinson, of Dillard, Georgia, deceased Monday, January 13, at his home after a long illness. He was born in Rabun County, April 12, 1862 near Pine Mountain. He had lived near Dillard since 1918, having come here from Jackson County, N.C. with his family where he had lived for many years. The funeral service was held at the Dillard Baptist Church on Tuesday at 2 p.m., Rev. J.F. Marchman, pastor of Dillard Church officiating. The body was laid to rest at Norton Cemetery in Jackson County, N.C. in the family plot beside his wife and two children who had preceded him to the grave. He is survived by one son, Harry, of Dillard, and two daughters, Inez of Macon and Mrs. R.P. Hamby of Shelby, N.C., and one grandson, Paul Vinson, of Union Hills, N.C. R.E.
