Jeptha Vining
Jeptha Vining was born February 15, 1738. He was raised a Presbyterian but became a Baptist. He was baptized by Rev. Joseph Parker in 1761. He was first married to Amy Miller with children: Mary, Thomas, Ann, Abigal, Joshua, Uriah, and Matthew. He second married the widow of Michael Thomas. Jeptha Vining owned land in Anson County, N.C. in 1778. He helped constitute Deep Creek Baptist Church in Anson County, N.C. in 1778. He was in a Georgia Association in 1788. He died in Georgia.
