Jacob Vinduska immigrated to the US in the early 1870's with his wife franceska and two sons Anton and Joseph, also a step son of Franceska's. I believe that they are the only Vinduskas to immigrate here from Bohemia, next door to Germany. They first lived in Cook county Ill. for a short while then settled in the Bohemian community of Pilsen, Ks. It could be possible that the accent or poor penmanship changed vinduska to wintuska?
