"Soldier's Mother Expresses Thanks" ( The Tomah reserve company has recieved the flolowing letter of appreciation and thanks, from Nelson's mother.Nelson S.Vincent a young soldier who escorted the body of Mike Standingwater from Camp Merritt to Tomah,Wis; died from an illness in our city.)
Second Part Letter North Adams ,Mass

Reserve Co. State Guards
Dear Soldier Boys: I cannot find words to express my thanks to you for the beautiful flowers, that accompanied the remains of my soldier boy. It was a very beautiful thing for you to do for a stranger. I think there must be some beautiful Christian people living in Tomah. Once again I thank you.
Signed, A soldier's broken-hearted mother. Mary E. Vincent
(Tomah is in Monroe County,Wisconsin) (Not related)
