Barbara Villiers (b.1640) was the daughter of William Villiers, 2nd Viscount Grandison (b.1613/14), and Mary Bayning.

Grandison was nephew of the late Duke of Buckingham (George Villiers, "favourite" of KingJames I) and a prominent military commander during the English Civil War. He died September 1643 as the result of a leg wound received at the Storming of Bristol (England!) in July the same year. Hope this helps. If you need to know any more about the English Civil War please get in touch.
