Set the record straight!!!!
Set the record straight!!!
To whom it may concern,
It has been brought to my attention by a reliable source that Annie Villeneuve has been bad-mouthing me and accusing me of stealing the information that I have on my website starting from my father to Francois Xavier Villeneuve. This is furthest from the truth. All the information starting with my father to Francois Xavier Villeneuve that I have on my website comes from my father and from hours and months researching at the Archives 10 years ago.If you look on page 10 of Volume 1, Issue number 2, ofDebbie Camberg's newsletter you will see
proof that a few years ago, I had submitted 5 generations of ancestors starting with my father.
This proves that I already had the information that Annie, decided last week that I had stolen from her.The rest of the information from Pierre Asselin Villeneuve to Mathurin comes from my researches at the Archives and cemetaries since May 2000.
Some of you may know and recognize Annie's particular way of writing in English and French and yesterday when I received an e-mail from a Jonathan Villeneuve, I recognized the same particular way of writing...is that trait in the family or did Annie take the identity of a Jonathan Villeneuve. The e-mail sent by this supposedly Jonathan was abusive, it defamed my reputation and an harassment.
So beware, if someone like me who has not taken information on her site is treated this way, can you imagine how she would treat someone who would dare take information on her site.If you ever intend on taking information in Annie's site, think about it twice because her site is "look but don't touch!"
As far as it goes, for my site, you are quite welcome to take the information that you need to build your own Villeneuve family tree because my intentions in building a Villeneuve website in June 2000, were to help those who don't have access to the numerous registries that are available here in Canada and for those who would like to know where their ancestors came from...and afterall, isn't the whole idea of posting on the internet about sharing. There's nothing that pleases me more than having people say thank you, for helping them find their ancestors
