Lookups in Chavez's "Origins..."
Researchers,
I have a book entitled:
ORIGINS OF NEW MEXICO FAMILIES IN THE SPANISH COLONIAL PERIOD IN TWO PARTS:THE SEVENTEENTH (1598-1693) AND THE EIGHTEENTH (1693-1821) CENTURIES By FRAY ANGELICO CHAVEZ, 1956, The Historical Society of New Mexico, Santa Fe
The book also has an appendix which includes some families of the ninteenth and early twentieth centuries. The Appendix includes ARCHULAETA, ARMIJO, BACA, CHAVEZ, GONZALEZ, LUCERO, LUNA, MONTOYA, ORTIZ, PADILLA, QUINTANA, RIBERA (mostly RIVERA), and TORRES.
References are given at the bottom of each page as in the marriage of Gabriel Ribera and Isabel Baca (page 333), i.e., "12. M, San Miguel del Vado; place called Ribera named after this family."
As long as I don't get inundated, I am more than willing to look up names in the book.
