Villalpando from Jalisco
When I started researching about my family name I found out that one of the main reason why there are many Villalpandos around and how hard is to trace a straight line is because our grandfathers and grand-grandfathers used to have more than one house and wife and spread out the Villalpando name, so is not a surprise that more than one of us are related.
About my Grand-grandfather familyn they are from Jalisco, they used to live in "Los Altos" area (Tepatitlan, Cuquio.etc..) and many of them were forced to immigrate during the "Revolucion" (1910's) and mostly during the "Guerra Cristera" (1920's) some of them stayed in Guadalajara, Aguascalientes, Monterrey.
My grand-grandfather name was Porfirio Villalpando who had a sister Maria and cousins Geronimo and Miguel Villalpando, my Grandfather was Baudelio Villalpando and his brother Pedro Villalpando, they had a sister Socorro... this are the name of the people my dad knew but he said that there are several others uncles and grand-uncles he has from my grandf and ggrandfather other families.
