Thank you for your reply.

As far as marriages for Figenia, my uncles and aunts (born 1917 forward and still alive) always knew her as Gallegos and thought that was her married name. However, I have found no marriage entry for her as of yet.

However, I recently came across a marriage entry for her daughter. "20 Aug 1882 - Pablo Carabajal, soltero, residence not given, hijo de Cruz Carabajal y de Margarita Gonzales, con Telesfora Armijo, soltera, vecina de Paraje, hija de Espiridion Armijo y de Figenia Gallegos. Pads: Were not identified. Test: Frank Birner y Eleuteria Gallegos. San Ignacio and San Cristobal, AASF, Film #117-A, Pg. #110. (San Ignacio y San Cristobal Matrimonios; 01 Mar 1869 - 31 Dec 1900; Pg. 271; 7th entry)"

I also found this marriage entry for another daughter. "22 Jan 1900. Francisco MENDOZA, (residence not given,) hijo de Rafael MENDOZA y de Severa GARCIA, con Higinia GALLEGOS, vecina de Paraje, hija de Figenia GALLEGOS. Pads: -------------- SANCHEZ y -------------- GALLEGOS. Test: (Were not identified.) (Off: Peter J. Pelzer.) (San Marcial, Marriage Book H, AASF Film #116-A) Page No. 137." {Padrinos may possibly be Higenia's brother-in-law and sister, Samuel Sanchez and Paubla Gallegos.}

Based on these entries, I would say Figenia's maiden name is Gallegos. I did find a marriage entry for Espiridion, but it wasn't to Figenia.

This is the only baptismal I have found so far for one of her grandchildren. "24 Oct 1915. Ruquela Sanchez of Magdalena; bap 24 Oct 1915; born 21 Sep 1915; d/ Samuel Sanchez y de Paula Gallegos. Pads: Manuel Chavez y Josefa Gallegos. (Microfilm at the Special Collections Library in Albuquerque, NM)"

As far as her children, I have had no luck as of yet on baptismal records and their birth dates also vary. Telesfora (abt. Feb, 1867), Juan (abt. 1863), Paubla (abt. Sep, 1869), Higenia (abt. 1873).

I have been able to verify that Figenia died 20 Aug 1930 in Gallup, NM. However, the mortuary that handled her burial has been out of business for decades and no one knows who, if anyone, has their records. Also, the City Clerks Office has no records regarding where she is buried, etc. Higenia died 26 May 1918 in Socorro and all Higenia's grandchildren where not aware of Figenia. Paubla died about 1951 in Gallup, NM. Same problem with her as with Figenia. My uncles and aunts had either moved, in the service or can't remember where she was buried and my mom did not go. Figenia and Paubla were both buried at Hillcrest Cemetary in Gallup, but I did find Paubla's husbands grave. But no luck on Paubla through his burial records.

I tried on Pablo Carabajal since I found a tree here on Genealogy. But the letter came back that I sent to the address listed.

I have started seeing what I can find on Eleuteria Gallegos, and Josefa Gallegos is another lead for me to follow up on.

But if you or someone else can assist on this, it would be greatly appreciated.

Again, THANK YOU for your reply.
