I am the daughter of Howard Henninger who was the Pilot of the Spooky gunship or (Puff the magic Dragon) C-47. I see that there is a lot of information on Henninger's out there I thought we were more rare than that. My father was shot down in 1966 over laos in Vietnam. He and all the crew were never found although I have heard that they had beeper's on and that his beeper signal first turned up in Russia and then in China. He is still missing in action.

I was 4 years old when he was shot down. They were flying low level flares and were basically sitting ducks. He told us it was a very dangerous mission and that he probably would'nt be coming back.

Previous to his mission in Vietnam he flew with Gary Powers doing research over the Turkish - Russian border over Mount Ararat (Dare I not say why)! He was then taken away to vietnam. My father spoke, read, and wrote 9 different languages fluently and he also had a photographic memory. Believe it ir not, its all true. It has been like a dream for me and I have re-occurring dreams of airplane crashes even to this day when I am almost 40. I don't speak too much about this because most people either dont believe it or they dont seem to care. But I will always look forward to the day when I can see my father again Jehovah God willing!!
