I was in the Air Force assigned to the 834th Air Division (ALCE) at Song Be/FSB Buttons from about 25 December, 1969 to 7 July, 1970. I worked in the building right next to the 8th Aerial Port building. I was living in the "old" compound at Song Be when it was hit by many mortor rounds the evening and early morning of 21 January, 1970. We were forced to move into the "new" compound before it was completely ready for occupation.
I would like to hear from anyone (Air Force or Army) who was there at that time to share memories of these times.
