Phu Cat that I knew was an Air Force communication/radar base. It was located just north of Qui Nhon along the coast in the II Corps district. I was an Army brigade personnel specialist who had to use restricted phone lines for my duties. Ironically, one of the communications specialists that was in Phu Cat is now working with me. Vert small world.

On the lighter side, my company had a feline mascot (a blond-white shorthair cat) by the name of "Phu Cat". The name is loosely translated as mountain valley or river.
