Donna
The 173d Airborne Brigade was based out of Dak To during
a series of gruesome battles in 1967. The 2nd Bn 503d
Infantry in particular was pretty badly chewed up.
If your brother was involved in these actions, he would
be a good candidate for disability compensation for PTSD,
as well as for the physical ailments.
These calims do take time to process. However if they are
approved, payment will be backdated to the time of
application.
I would suggest you contact the Disabled American Veterans
DAV nearest to you. This organization may be able to
help you.
