Robert Via/Viers b. 1757 or 1762?
I'm looking for information on a Robert Viers (or alternate spelling, e.g. Viers) born on either 3 May 1757 or 2 May 1762.These appear to be two different people, but I see information online that seems to assume they are the same.
For former DOB is taken from a tombstone in Biven Cemetery, Lewis Co., KY on Quicks Run Road:
Robert Via
born 3 May 1757
died 15 Apr 1845
An Augusta Co., VA court record seems to provide the DOB for the latter:
18 May 1768 Augusta Co. Court (Chalkley's Abstracts of Augusta County Records, vol. 3, p. 149) "Robert Via aged 6 year, on the sixth of this month, son of David Via deceased, to be bound out."
Potential wives for these are Mary Carpenter and Margaret Martin.
I am trying to confirm if either of these is the father of a William T. Voiers b. 1798-1800 and who appears on the 1840/50 census record in Henry Co., KY and the 1860 census record in Trimble Co., KY.
Thanks,
Brett Wallis
