Dear Olivia, I returned home this evening to find your message and I was inspired to search for my family tree and guess what? I found it! I can't believe it. I have moved so many times in the last ten years its amazing that I was able to locate it. So, I can give you some information, but yet how we truly determine whether it's the same Vieira clan is beyond me. So here is the information I have. I hope it helps. My Grandfather Vieira was named Joseph Pereira Vieira. If it's the same family he would have been your Aunt Olive's Uncle Joe -or Ti Jose'.. because I think that the Olive I remember was a cousin to my Dad. Anyway my Grandfather's dates are b1884 to d1953. His Mother was named Margarida Amarim and his father Antonio Vieira. Both, as far as I know were from San Miguel in the Azores, more specifically a village called Rabo de Peixe (tail of the fish?). If it is the same family, your Aunt Olive would have been the duaghter of one of my grandafather's brothers or sisters. My mother is 91 and ill. She has severe Alzheimer's disease and a lot of trouble communicating. I will try to ask her about Olive and who Olive's dad was, but you know Alzheimer's patients remember things from many years ago but not from two minutes ago. I had to move her here from Fall River 3 years ago to care for her. Anyway, I will check next week since I am headed away for the weekend. In the meantime I will also send an email to cousin Mike who's sister Judy may have some information. Regards, Jrry
