My husbands mothers family are Vidal and we were told they were originally from France. Also informed the vidals went to Santa Rosalia,Mexico which I believe was settled by the French. My ancestor Joseph Vidal married Clara Pellegraux. Clara owned most of Ensenda Mexico where she owned and operated Santo Tomas Winery. Their son was Manuel Pedro Vidal born 1882, also carmen Vidal, Paul Vidal and Jula Vidal, Julia married David Zarate.govenor of Ensenada, Mexicalli, and T.J.
