Lewis Vidal & his wife Elfie

Lewis (Louis) Vidal was born in or near London in May, 1850 and came to the United States in the 1870's. He was in the Royal Navy with Lord Beresford. Lewis was a Lawman in and around Phoenix, Bisbee and Cochise County, Arizona and met Elfie Liggett there in 1885 or so. The couple married in Phoenix on January 31, 1885 and had a son Lewis E.

Lewis was murdered during a robbery attempt just outside his home in El Paso, Texas in 1914. The murderer was never caught. Lewis was a hotel, saloon and real estate owner and quite successful.

I'm trying to locate photographs of Elfie, Lewis and her father William M. Liggett for a book on the town of Eldorado, Oregon, where Elfie and William lived in 1870.

Would appreciate hearing from descendants of Elfie and Lewis Vidal.
