If you examine the list of names on, you will find 9 different references to the name Vida. The references vary from Jewish records in England, North Africa, and the Holy Office of the Catholic Church of Spain. The Holy Office, as you are aware, administered the Inquisition of Spain. They were the record keepers.

Vidal is thought to be a Converso name, so all the Vidals may not be related.
