I am searching, due to my cousin's misplacement of family records, for a family history of the Victor family that settled in Ohio. I would like to find out from where they came,how they branched off and headed West, religious background, etc. My paternal grandfather's name was Desso Melvin Victor. He was married to a Rosa Belle Crooks/Baird. He had a brother named Samuel Victor (my uncle-deceased around 1967/68). I know that they are related to the Phillip Victor and Rachel Claypool union somehow. I know of other relatives by name only: Samuel James Victor; James Samuel Victor. I also believe there was an Andrew Victor. I would be greatful for any and all assistance you may have. If anyone has a family tree, crest or other information, that too would be a great thing.
