Some corrections need to be made here. The William Vickery I am searching for was born in NY circa 1830, not 1820. His wife, Mary, was born in NT circa 1831. The only record I have for them is from the 1880 US Census as follows: 1880 US Census for Flowerfield Twp., St. Joseph Co.,MI Family History Library Film: 1254603 NA Film Number: T9-0603 Page Number: 325B William VICKERY Self M Male W 50 NY Farm Labor NY NY Mary VICKERY Wife M Female W 49 NY Keeps House NY NY Albert J. VICKERY Son S Male W 28 MI Laborer NY NY Charles VICKERY Son S Male W 12 MI At Home NY NY I also have the marriage record for my great great grandparents: Groom name: James Albert Vickery Groom age: 33 years Groom birth year: 1851 Groom birth place: Oakland Co., Mich. Bride name: Almeretta Knapp Brady Bride age: 25 years Bride birth year: 1859 Bride birth place: Flowerfield Marriage date: 03 Aug 1884 Marriage place: Flowerfield, St Joseph, Michigan Film number: 2342475 Digital GS number: 4207803 Image number: 202 Reference number: v 3 p 234 rn 166 Collection: Michigan Marriages 1868-1925 Albert and Almaretta had one son named Frank V. Vickery (1885-1962). His first wife was Laura Clare "Daisy" BLOOD (1892-1954) by who he had three children. They were divorced in early 1921 in St. Joseph Co., MI and both remarried almost immediately. Frank's second wife was Ervilla Mae COOPER (1901-1965), daughter of William J. and Myrtle A. "Myrtie" (Vickery) Cooper. My guess is that Frank and Myrtie were cousins but I am not having much luck tracing Myrtie's Vickery line either. All I know is that her parents were Orson and Rosella (COOK) Vickery. What seems to be causing most of the confusion is the number of William Vickerys residing in Michigan who were born in New York and had wives named Mary. Notify Administrator about this message?
